Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, lost her cool again today when people shouted ‘Jai Sree Ram’ slogans. She became angry and told, “they are BJP people and criminals from outside the state”.
She got out of the car that she was travelling in and became angry with the people. She said the officials to take down the names of those who raised the slogan and threatened to take action against them.
Banerjee on Wednesday had declined to attend the swearing in cermony of Narendra Modi in protest against the BJP for inviting families of BJP workers killed by TMC goons to the function.
In an election that was marred by violence, the BJP has made deep inroads into the Trinamool Congress territory in West Bengal by winning 18 seats in the Lok Sabha elections and cutting the TMC to size by limiting it to only 22 seats. TMC had won 34 seats in 2014.
