Panaji: Excitement is building in Goa as the International Film Festival (IFFI) approaches, and it is scheduled to take place from the 20th to the 28th of this month. “Catching Dust,” directed by Stuart Gatt, will be screened to commence the festival, while the festival will be concluded by screening “The Featherweight,” directed by Robert Kolodny’s.

The Malayalam film “Aattam” will be screened in Panorama. Other notable Malayalam films, including “Iratta,” “Naa Than Case Kodu,” “Pookalam,” “2018,”  are featured in the list of films to be screened.

Renowned director Shekhar Kapur leads the international competition category jury, overseeing the evaluation of 270 films showcased at the festival. Union Minister Anurag Thakur has announced that a web series will also be awarded this time.

Hollywood star and producer Michael Douglas will be honoured with the prestigious Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award for his significant contributions to world cinema.
