The Surya Kiran Aerobatic team of the Indian Air Force showcased an awe-inspiring air show ahead of the World Cup 2023 final in Ahmedabad. Led by Wing Commander Sidhesh Kartik, the Deputy Team Leader, a formation of nine aircraft took to the skies from Ahmedabad’s airport, treating spectators to a mesmerizing 15-minute display of aerial prowess above the Narendra Modi Stadium.
The team conducted rehearsals on both Friday and Saturday, offering onlookers a preview of the spectacular performance awaiting fans at the stadium on the much-anticipated match day. India secured their place in the ODI World Cup final by defeating New Zealand on Wednesday, while Australia earned their spot by winning a thrilling semifinal against South Africa by three wickets on Thursday.
