Thiruvananthapuram: Fulfilling the wanderlust of travel enthusiasts, the Indian Railways launches the “South Canara Temple Tour” through its Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. This journey offers an opportunity for travellers to explore prominent temples in Karnataka.
Starting from Kochuveli, this journey offers pilgrims a chance to visit destinations such as Tenkasi, Udupi, Mookambika, Murudeshwar, Sringeri, and Horanadu.
The five-night and six-day tour, set to commence on December 7, covers Sengottai, Tenkasi, Rajapalayam Junction, Podanur, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod, Mangalore, Udupi via Mookambika, Murdeshwar, Sringeri, and Horanadu via Kollam.
There are two categories of packages: economy class and comfort class. Economy Class offers 560 seats; the fare stands at Rs 11,750 for adults and Rs 11,050 for children aged 5 to 11. In Comfort Class, 208 seats are available. The fare for this class is Rs 19,950 for adults and Rs 19,150 for children.
The ticket price encompasses sleeper accommodation in the economy class and third-air conditioning amenities in the comfort class. Additionally, the package offers three daily vegetarian meals, comprehensive travel insurance, and a dedicated tour escort facility.
