Mumbai: Ten people died in an explosion at a factory in Nagpur, Maharashtra. It was reported that the explosion occurred at 9:30 am at Solar Industries India Limited, a prominent company in the Bazargaon region.
Several people were rescued from the factory, many of whom sustained injuries. A majority reported being in critical condition. A police team has arrived at the scene and initiated rescue operations to assist those affected. Eyewitnesses on-site said that they have seen dead bodies in some areas, although official confirmation of the number of fatalities is pending.
Solar Industries India Limited specialises in the manufacturing of drones and explosives for security units. Preliminary reports indicate that the explosion occurred during the packaging of explosive machine parts. The company’s chairman, Satyanarayan Nuwal, has confirmed the incident but remains uncertain about the exact number of workers present during the tragic event.
