New Delhi: Former Union Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Harmohan Dhawan passes away. He was 83 years old. The veteran politician died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mohali.
Harmohan Dhawan, a prominent figure in Indian politics, had served as a Member of Parliament from Chandigarh. He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1989 as a Janta Party nominee and later assumed the role of Civil Aviation Minister in the Chandra Shekhar-led government.
Expressing their condolences, political leaders from various parties, including former Congress MP Pawan Kumar Bansal and former BJP MP Satyapal Jain, have shared their grief over Dhawan’s demise. Pawan Kumar Bansal acknowledged Dhawan’s significant contributions as both a minister and an MP.
