Swiggy started its food delivery services in Lakshadweep as part of the nationwide expansion. It aims to deliver food from local restaurants to locals, and tourists visiting the island.

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, the face of Lakshadweep on the world map has changed. Apart from gaining a place in the news and social media, the flow of tourists from different corners of the world to Lakshadweep has also increased. The central government’s aim is to bring Lakshadweep to the forefront of world tourism through various development programs in the island and the Prime Minister’s visit to Lakshadweep has laid the foundation for that.
