Hyderabad: Garima Abrol, wife of an IAF pilot, Sqn Ldr Samir Abrol, who lost his life in a crash, will join the Indian Air Force. Air Force Selection Board (Varanasi) has cleared Garima’s entry into the forces.
Garima is set to join the Air Force Academy, Dundigal in Hyderabad for training as a flying officer in January next year. Recently she expressed her feelings on her social media profike about how she felt when her husband Sqd Ldr Samir Abrol died in a Mirage-2000 fighter jet crash at HAL airport on February 1.
Though Garima Abrol herself has not put out any post about her joining the IAF,’ SSB crack’ in a post said she had cleared her SSB interview in her first attempt. Garima prepared for her interview from May 11-20 at Minera Academy and has been recommended to join AFA from AFSB Varanasi, it said.
