Ranchi: Two police officers were martyred in an encounter with communist terrorists in Jharkhand’s Chatra district. The incident occurred on Wednesday in Bairio forest under the Jori police station.
IG Amol V Homakar confirmed that two officers were martyred and one was injured in the incident. The deceased have been identified as Sikandar Singh from Wazirganj in Gaya and Sukan Ram from Palamu in Jharkhand. Chatra sub-divisional police officer Sandeep Suman stated that the injured soldier, Akash Singh, was transported to Ranchi for treatment.
