New Delhi: Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Minister for Communications, Electronics, and Railways, announced that Bharat is poised to achieve a significant milestone in electronics production, targeting $300 billion in the coming years, with exports contributing $100 billion. This growth trajectory is supported by government policies aimed at bolstering manufacturing, as stated by Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday.
Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized ongoing efforts in modernizing and expanding the railway network, including the extensive renovation of stations nationwide and the ambitious bullet train project. He expressed confidence in meeting the electronics production target, citing a robust component ecosystem and substantial design work in the country.
Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s keen interest in modernization initiatives, particularly those enhancing public experiences, Ashwini Vaishnaw underscored the government’s commitment to transformative projects.
Addressing the telecommunications sector, Ashwini Vaishnaw noted Bharat’s rapid rollout of 5G services, positioning the country at the forefront globally. He also discussed the development of the Bharat stack of telecommunications equipment, signaling the government’s intent to export these technologies to other nations.
