Palakkad: A main PFI terrorist absconding in the case related to the killing of RSS leader A. Sreenivasan (45) has been arrested. Shafeek, a resident of Malappuram was the apprehended. He was arrested from Kollam during the investigation conducted by the NIA. The NIA stated that Shafeek was a member of the PFI’s hit squad and had been on the run since Sreenivasan was murdered.
On April 16, 2022, Sreenivasan was killed by a six-member gang of the Popular Front terrorist group, who arrived at his shop in Melamuri, Palakkad, armed with lethal weapons. Initially, the Sreenivasan murder case was investigated by a special team of the local police before being taken over by the NIA.
