Thiruvananthapuram: The Thiruvananthapuram city police have imposed traffic restrictions from 6 am to 5 pm on March 22 in connection with Pongala at Karikkakom Chamundi Devi Temple. Traffic controls have been implemented on the Kazhakoottam-Karode bypass road from Kuzhivila to Chacka, Venpalavattom, Kochuveli railway station, and Madhavapuram road, as well as on the Karikakam temple road.

Vehicles coming from Kovalam and Eanchakal sides should park at World Market via the flyover after dropping people at Lord’s Junction. Devotees from Thumba and Perumathura areas should drop people at All Saints Road, Kochuveli, and park at the Shangumugham parking ground. Vehicles from Attingal and Kazhakoottam areas should park on the service road up to Chaka after dropping off opposite Lulu Mall.

KSRTC will provide services from various depots in Thiruvananthapuram to the temple starting at 4 am on the Pongala day. Trust officials have informed that the Pongala will be conducted following the Green Code. The services of the Police, Fire and Rescue, and Health Department have been ensured.
