Wayanad: The report from the anti-ragging squad states that Siddharth, a second-year student at Pookode Veterinary University in Wayanad, has allegedly been assaulted by SFI leaders for eight months.
According to a statement provided by a classmate of Siddharth to the anti-ragging squad, Siddharth had said that he had been a victim of ragging several times. It is reported that the college union president and a member of the SFI unit committee had instructed Siddharth to report to Arun’s room, both in the morning and evening, on a regular basis.
The college union leadership from the beginning had decided to curb Siddharth’s popularity, who was very active in the college. The report also states that some of the security personnel at the university were not ready to give a statement to the anti-ragging squad. A final report will be submitted to the Vice-Chancellor after seeking legal advice in light of new findings and statements.
