Thiruvananthapuram: As doctors are on strike for protesting against the passage of national medical bill in the parliament, state capital Thiruvananthapuram witnessed a only a partial effect. The 24 hour strike has omitted emergency services as well as surgeries.
Indian Medical Association has started strike at 6 am today. Hospitals including Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital is functioning smoothly and OP has began at 8 am. Both junior doctors’ and house surgeons’ services received as usual. Private hospitals too are functioning smoothly. Medical College Hospital is observing this day as black day, favouring the protest.
