Thiruvananthapuram: Gold price in the state have reached an all-time high in the history of the state with a sovereign gold surpassing the Rs 50,000 mark. Currently, a sovereign gold stands at Rs 50,400 and Rs 6,300 per gram.
The surge in gold prices is attributed to the upward trend in the international market. If this trend persists, further increases in gold prices are anticipated in the coming days. Notably, gold prices, which had been hovering near Rs 49,000 in recent days, suddenly surpassed the Rs 50,000 mark.
Just yesterday, one gram of gold was priced at Rs 6,170, while a sovereign gold stood at Rs 49,360. Following the previous record of Rs 49,440 for a sovereign gold on March 21, gold prices have reached an unprecedented high for the first time in the history of Kerala.
