Thiruvananthapuram: Union Minister V Muraleedharan, while addressing media persons in Thiruvananthapuram, expressed pride in the successful evacuation of all Indians stranded abroad. He highlighted this as one of the most significant achievements of his tenure. He emphasised that the Modi government would stand by every Indian citizens, no matter where they are in the world.
Acknowledging his role in the mission to repatriate Indians stranded in Ukraine and elsewhere, V. Muraleedharan shared that 22,000 Indians, including around 3,000 Keralites, were rescued from the Ukraine crisis and safely brought to Bharat. He also mentioned Operation Kaveri, which brought back fishermen stranded in Iran, and lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in facilitating the safe return of Navy personnel from Qatar.
Due to the Prime Minister Modi’s personal and diplomatic connections, stranded Indians in other countries returned safely to Bharat. V Muraleedharan also said that the intervention of the Prime Minister Modi and the External Affairs Minister, Dr. Jaishankar, has been significant. Saving Indians from a war front like Ukraine was an unparalleled mission.
V. Muraleedharan added that our soldiers and the Modi government have successfully repatriated Indians to Bharat even under challenging circumstances. He mentioned that even when Christian priests met Prime Minister Modi, they did not express their concerns. V Muraleedharan, who is also the NDA candidate of the Attingal constituency, stated that steps are being taken to safely bring the Keralites trapped in Russia back to the country, and actions are being taken against fake recruiting agencies.
