Thrissur: A holiday has been announced for all government offices and educational institutions within the Kodungallur taluk in Thrissur district, on April 9 in wake of the upcoming ‘Kodungallur Bharani’ festival celebration. The District Collector has issued an official order to this effect. However, it’s important to note that this holiday exemption does not apply to previously scheduled public examinations or recruitment examinations conducted by central, state, and semi-government institutions.
The ‘Bharani’ festival is slated to take place at the Sree Kurumba Bhagavathy temple in Kodungallur, Thrissur. This significant event, expected to draw thousands of devotees, will occur on the Aswathi-Bharani days of the Malayalam month.
