Thiruvananthapuram: The deadline for ration distribution for the month of March in the state has been extended until April 6, following a halt in distribution due to a technical issue with the e-POS machine. The distribution, which was supposed to continue today, was disrupted by a server failure, leaving many disappointed customers who had arrived at ration shops since morning.
Rice packages had arrived at the ration shops on Wednesday, prompting a surge in customers, particularly today, as Thursday and Friday were holidays. However, the technical glitch in the server interrupted the distribution process. The food department has assured that efforts are underway to resolve the technical issue promptly.
