Thiruvananthapuram: A petition has been filed in the High Court concerning the delay in the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) probe into Siddharth’s demise. Siddharth’s father Jayaprakash had filed the petition, urging the immediate initiation of the CBI’s inquiry into his son’s death. In the petition, Siddhrath’s father, Jayapraksh, argued that the government is deliberately attempting to sabotage the CBI investigation. The High Court will consider the petition tomorrow.

In his plea, Jayaprakash argued that Siddharth might still be alive today if the Vice-Chancellor had fulfilled his duties in accordance with the university’s regulations. It was the responsibility of the Vice-Chancellor to enforce the Kerala Prohibition of Ragging Act in the educational institutions under the university’s purview. Jayaprakash added that the Vice-Chancellor failed to execute those provisions of the law effectively.

Meanwhile, Jayaprakash has approached the High Court, requesting permission to join the petition filed by former Vice Chancellor M.R. Saseendranath, challenging the suspended Chancellor’s order.

Furthermore, Jayaprakash visited the Pookode Veterinary University campus and addressed the media yesterday. He expressed his conviction about the circumstances surrounding his son Siddharth’s death upon his visit.
