Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast indicating the likelihood of rainfall in several districts of Kerala. According to the IMD, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Idukki districts are expected to experience light rain today.
Further, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Wayanad districts are also anticipated to receive rainfall on Sunday (April 7, 2024). Light rain is forecasted for all districts except Palakkad, Thrissur, Malappuram, and Kozhikode on the 8th of this month, with rain expected in all districts on the 9th.
Additionally, the IMD has issued a warning regarding the possibility of rough sea and high waves due to the black sea phenomenon. Coastal residents are advised to remain vigilant and refrain from fishing at night. Furthermore, it is recommended to avoid venturing into the sea during this period.
