Communist youth organization DYFI protests against Central Government’s decision on Kashmir, echoes sentiments of Pakistan

Thiruvananthapuram: The youth organization of  the CPI(M), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), has staged a protest at the State capital today against the Central government’s decision to revoke Article 370 and to bifurcate the State.

DYFI is also active in Jammu and Kashmir where it is known as the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Youth Federation (JKDYF). The communist organization strongly opposes India’s decision to fully integrate Kashmir into the mainland.

The youth organization’s demands echoed strongly with Pakistan’s sentiments concerning Kashmir. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said that Kashmir is a disputed territory and any move against Kashmir will be opposed by Pakistan.

Pakistan said that India cannot undertake any unilateral action in Kashmir. The Islamic nation also warned that Kashmiris would not accept such a decision.

The left parties support Congress, National Conference, DMK and a few other parties on the Kashmir issue. However, BJP’s decision to scrap Article 370 got support from unexpected quarters like BSP, AAP, and YSRC. The Biju Janata Dal also gave support to the government’s decision.

It is no wonder that DYFI’s protests echoes the sentiments of Pakistan.

The communist party has always took an anti-India stand when it came to national security and integration and cultural unity of the country.

Their protest against the government’s decision follows from their deep seated hatred for the Nationalist spirit of India.
