Thiruvananthapuram: After four days of incessant rains in many parts of the state, the weather now has changed and the state is witnessing moderate rain today. Orange alert has been issued for Idukki, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasrgod and IMD has issued yellow alert in two districts.
Heavy to very heavy rain may occur in central and southern parts of Kerala as a result of low pressure formation in the Bay of Bengal. Indian Meteorological Department has informed that the low pressure will move along north-western region parallel to Himalaya within 12 hours.
The weather warning says, the rain will not create havoc in Wayanad. The state will receive average rain today and tomorrow. Heavy to very rain may occur in the regions of Idukki, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Muvattupuzha and Kottayam. Kozhikkode, Kannur and Kasargod will be receiving isolated rain showers these days.
