Kozhikode: The police have registered a case against 30 students belonging to Muslim Students Front (MSF) for waving the flag of Pakistan in a college campus in Kozhikode.
The incident which took place in Thursday occurred while the MSF activists were taking part in the election campaign inside the campus of Perambra Silver College. The student activists waved a large flag of Pakistan inside the campus.
The MSF is the student organization of the Muslim League which is an ally of the Congress party.
The students claim that the flag was that of MSF and because of its large size it was mistaken to be that of a Pakistani flag.
The police have begun investigation into the identity of the students and action will be initiated if found guilty. The students are charged under Sections 143, 147, 153, and 149 of the IPC.
