Kochi: The Kerala government sanctioned Rs 1 crore to Maradu Municipality to make security arrangements in relation to vacating the flats and rehabilitation of the residents.
The deadline to vacate the flats was on Thursday. Several families have shifted to other places while some others are still in search of accommodation.
Last week, the Supreme Court had ordered an interim compensation of Rs 25 lakhs to each flat owner to be paid within four weeks.
Rehabilitation has been arranged for all flat owners who have asked for the same, told District Collector S Suhas. The four flats will be handed over to the companies for demolition on 11th of this month.
