Thiruvananthapuram: The results of the bypolls to five assembly constituencies in Kerala will be known within a few hours. All the major three parties – CPM-led LDF, Congress-headed UDF and the BJP-NDA are anxiously waiting for their victory.
The bypolls were held in Vattiyoorkavu, Aroor, Konni, Ernakulam and Manjeshwaram.
In the 140-member state assembly, LDF has 92 MLAs, UDF 46 and BJP one, besides Independent member P C George.
Counting of votes will begin at 8.00 am.
