Thiruvananthapuram: The Government of Kerala on Friday has extended support to the bereaved families of two students who died in separate unfortunate incidents recently.
The government has decided to assist financially with Rs 10 lakh to the families. The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held in Thiruvananthapuram today.
A student of class six, Navneeth from Government Higher Secondary School Chunakkara, died after he was hit accidentally by a cricket bat on his head while playing.
In another incident, Shahla Sherin, a fifth standard student of Government Sarvajana Higher Secondary school in Wayanad, died after a snake bite in her classroom.
