Thiruvananthapuram: The BJP has won the Congress and the CPI (M) seats in the bye-election in the local body wards of the state.
The BJP won the Congress seat in the bye-election for Vaikom Municipal Ward. BJP’s KR Rajesh won the by-election by 79 votes from ward 21 of the Vaikom Municipality.
The BJP also won the LDF seat in Mullassery Thrissur. TG Praveen won the seat with a majority of 20 votes.
The bye-elections were held on Tuesday in 28 local government wards in 12 districts in the state.
