Kochi: The annual ‘nadathurappu’ festival of Thiruvairanikkulam temple will end toady. The temple of Goddess Parvathy opens only once in a year for the festival. During this year’s festival days, more than eleven lakh devotees reached temple for ‘darshan’.
The sanctum sanctorum of Goddess Sri Parvathy is opened only twelve days in a year. Large number of women devotees come to receive blessings from the Goddess. The temple is also known as women’s Sabarimala.
The doors of the shrine was opened on 9th January. The authorities had arranged virtual queue facility so as to provide hassle-free darshan. Special poojas will be held today before closing the holy doors.
