Thiruvananthapuram: State Health Minister K K Shylaja on Tuesday said that 633 people had returned to Kerala from China and all of them have been put under observation for possible exposure to the novel coronavirus.
Seven are in isolation wards for observation at different hospitals.
So far, 16 people have been hospitalized. Nine of them were discharged. Samples of 10 people have been sent to Pune Virology Institute for testing while six of them were diagnosed with coronary artery disease. The results of four are yet to come.
Strong measures are being taken to prevent coronavirus infection.
