Kozhikode: CPI(M) is in a fix to explain about the resignation of Panchayath ward member, K. S. Arunkumar, citing caste discrimination against him.
The party is saying that opposition parties are misusing the issue. The local leadership of the CPI(M) said that the party has demanded Arunkumar to withdraw his resignation. The explanation comes after the party is facing flak for practicing caste discrimination in the party.
Before giving his resignation, Arunkumar put up a Facebook post in which he says that he should not have been born in this world. He blamed the communist party for not standing with him even after many of his co-workers abused him in the name of his caste. He added that even after he gave a complaint to the party, it did not make a move against those who discriminated and abused him.
He said that he gave his resignation after he was isolated by everyone.
