Thrissur: A complaint has been filed against DYFI’s leader Jeevanlal for sexually abusing a girl. The High Court rejected Jeevanlal’s anticipatory bail. However, the victim accused CPM for its involvement in the case, the reason why no legal proceedings even after 2 months of registering the complaint.
The girl was threatened by the relatives of Jeevanlal. The girl said she did not get any help from the party and on the other hand they indulge themselves in her character assassination. The complaint was filed to DYFI state secretary M. Swaraj. No action was taken on it either. The girl said she will not continue in the party.
The girl complained to police that she was sexually assaulted at the MLA hostel at Thiruvananthapuram on 4th of September. The complaint was filed by Irinjalakuda DySP. On the basis of the complaint statement of the girl was recorded but no further steps were taken. The museum police is conducting further investigations as the incident took place in Thiruvananthapuram. The girl added that she had come to Thiruvananthapuram many times as part of the case and gave her consent to the Kattakada magistrate.
