Kochi: Yuva Morcha State secretary Sandeep G. Varier on Sunday wrote an open letter to Megastar Mammootty demanding to end ties with the team of Kochi Music Foundation. He also asked the actor to condemn the team who concealed the money in the name of Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund.
In the letter posted by Varier on Facebook, he outlined that it was Mammootty who bought the first ticket of the Karuna Musical Night organised by Kochi Music Foundation, in order to encourage the initiative to help Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund.
Sandeep Varier stated that it is an insult to the Malayalam industry including legends like Mammooty. Aashiq Abu and team had collected tickets for the event but failed to remit the amount to CM’s fund.
However, the main organisers of the event Aashiq Abu and Rima Kallingal are yet to explain the allegations and controversy. Kochi Music Foundation posted on Facebook yesterday that there was no profit gained but only loss in the programme.
