Kochi : The High Court warns the police force again, on mass arrest of devotees. A person can be arrested only if the police has evidence against him, being a part of the crime or involvement in any violence. A new allegation was made in the latest petition on mass arrest ; the list of the devotees, to be arrested, was prepared as a joint venture, by the police and the leftist groups!

Advocate Govind Madhusoodanan has approached the High Court for an advance bail for himself. This is the situation when High Court warned the police force on a serious note again, that under no circumstances, no innocent should be hand cuffed. The Court also directed the Government to present the visuals of the conflict.

An hour of time was given to the Government to produce the evidence, as the police force failed to do that, the Government’s attorney come up a convincing excuse, that all the evidence had been handed over to district Collector. The medias are asked to share the visuals, Government notified the Court.

Advocate Govind Madhusoodanan had clearly mentioned, that he was only a part of the prayer protest, he was not at all part of any crime or other violence, in his request for advance bail. The police must present evidence in the court. The petitions will be considered again on Wednesday.
