Thiruvananthapuram: IAS officer Sriram Venkitaraman has been reinstated into the service by the government. He was accused in the accident case that killed journalist K M Basheer.
The decision comes after government held talks with the union of journalists and has appointed him as the joint secretary in the Department of Health and Social Justice.
