Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has decided to go on a war footing to fight against the deadly coronavirus disease. About 276 new doctors will be appointed through Public Service Commission with immediate effect.
They have been shortlisted from PSC rank list and given advice memo.
Paramedical staff will also be appointed urgently, informed Health Minister K. K. Shailaja.
In view of the increasing numbers of the positive cases, the health department has stepped up and prepared Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C strategy. Around 6,000 beds are kept ready for the infected people.
At the same time, corona care centres have also been set up to accommodate 21,866 people at a time.
