Palakkad : To take down BJP’s rule, UDF was backed by CPM to pass no-confidence motion against the welfare standing committee chairman, P. Smithesh . Altogether there are 9 members in the committee. Out of which 4 represents BJP, 3 representing UDF and the the remaining 2 of CPM. A meeting within the CPM on Saturday decided on supporting UDF, with the resolution against BJP governing body. Paradoxical was the result, for the plan of action by UDF and CPM, as UDF councilor of Kalpathy wing Saravanan resigned. After the resignation the no-confidence motion stands no chance as it had already lose on majority.
