Thiruvananthapuram: Union Minister V Muraleedharan said that first priority will be given to Malayalee expatriates. He also said that it is quite difficult to quarantine them all together if brought to native land and therefore they will have to wait till the month of May. However, food and medicines will be shipped to the labour camps abroad.
The Minister also ensured the safety of those stranded in Philippines and Moldova. He said that Kerala groups abroad are willing to chart the flight and return to India. The film crew in Jordan and the students in Moldova expressed their interest in the same, however, when the situation improves, everyone will be brought back.
Embassies abroad in collaboration with NGOs will ensure delivery of food and medicines in the labour camp, he said. Muralidharan also said that medical attention and adequate food facilities will be provided to the fishermen trapped in Iran.
