Thiruvananthapuram: Finance Minister Thomas Isaac said that the state government would go ahead with the central directives. Isaac said that he would look into the amendments in the newly issued guidelines.
He was responding to the new guidelines issued by the Centre in the backdrop of extension of coronavirus lockdown.
In the cabinet meeting tomorrow, the state government will review the guidelines. The relaxed restrictions along with opening of the shops will also be discussed in the meeting. The Centre will be asked if any relaxations in the restrictions are needed.
The Central government should not only give exceptions in restrictions but also provide financial assistance to various sectors, said Isaac. He also demanded that packages for particular states be announced.
