Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday said that 11 new coronavirus positive cases have been confirmed in Kerala.
7 cases reported from Kannur, 2 from Kozhikode while one each from Malappuram and Kottayam districts. One patient from Palakkad has turned out to be negative, the CM added.
On Wednesday alone, 95 persons were admitted to hospitals. So far 20,821 samples have been sent for testing out of which 19,998 have turned negative, CM Vijayan said.
The Chief Minister also welcomed the Centre’s approval of ordinance to protect healthcare personnel from violence.
