Pathanamthitta: Seven people including an imam were arrested on Friday after they conducted Friday prayers in mosque by violating the lockdown protocol. Those arrested were having Jumu’ah at Aanappara mosque yesterday.
A government school teacher, a policeman’s brother and an SDPI leader are also among those arrested.
Elanthur government school teacher Afzal Annapara, SDPI leader AR Buhari, mosque imam Abdul Razak, police’s brother Anzil, Niyas, Mira Sahib, Muinuddeen were arrested. Meanwhile three others fled from the spot.
