Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that there is no hurry to open liquor stores in the state. He affirmed his stance in the meeting held with Excise Minister TP Ramakrishnan.
The Excise Minister and excise commissioner held a discussion with CM regarding the matter on Wednesday.
The CM said that if the outlets are reopened soon, the law and order shall go out of control as witnessed in other states.
The decision comes after excise department authorities had stated a probability of re-opening of the outlets before the lockdown is lifted.
