Ernakulam: Poilce had to resort to mild lathi-charge in Koothattukulam area on Thursday to disperse migrant workers after they gathered and demonstrated demanding to send them back to their native land.
They protested in the morning around 7 at a private bus stand. However, no case has been filed against anyone.
Centre had earlier granted permission for the movement of the stranded people amid lockdown.
