Kochi: As part of India’s ‘Vande Bharat’ Mission, the first flight with expatriates arrived in Kerala’s Nedumbassery airport at 10.08 pm on Thursday.
The Abu Dhabi-Kochi flight had 181 passengers on board.
The second flight arrived around 10.32 pm in Kozhikode’s Karippur airport on Thursday. There were 182 passengers on board in this Dubai-Kozhikode flight.
Two flights carrying NRIs stranded in foreign countries due to COVID outbreak will land in Kerala on Friday. Air India Express will conduct special service from Bahrain to Kochi and Saudi Arabia to Kozhikode.
The flight from Saudi was terminated yesterday due to technical snag. A special flight from Mumbai will arrive in Riyadh to bring back the expats to Kozhikode.
The passengers are requested to arrive airport 5 hours in prior to the departure time. Only those who are tested negative in the COVID rapid test will be allowed to board the flights.
About 200 passengers will be brought to Karipur today.
The flight is scheduled to land at Karipur by 8.30 pm. The flight from Bahrain will reach Kochi by 10.40 pm.
