Thrissur : The income from Guruvayoor temple is reduced by a crore. The decline in income is said to be the result of Hundai challenge, no money will spend for the temples under Devaswom. But Devaswom Board chairman K B Mohandas says otherwise.
In the recent past a campaign has been running against the Devaswom Board and the State Government, as both the bodies stood against the Hindu beliefs and tradition with the Sabarimala women entry. Hindu organisations including Hindu Aikyavedi had asked Hindus to contribute, only paper chits to hundis, with prayer written on it. When there is decline of income by a crore in these situations, the authorities must rethink. The income from the temple has taken a down graph for the past couple of months.
K B Mohandas still believes that, the decline in income is not because the Devaswom had wronged the devotees. He added that, the hundi placed in the Guruvayoor temple for CM’s flood relief fund, is not under the command of anyone in peculiar.
