Kerala: Class 10, 12 pending exams today; DGP issues guidelines

Thiruvananthapuram: The pending SSLC, HSE and VHSE exams that were postponed due to coronavirus lockdown, will be conducted from today. High level safety measures have been arranged.

Police Chief Loknath Behra has issued guidelines pertaining to safety measured to be followed by the students and parents.

The parents are not allowed to gather in groups in front of the schools or examination centre otherwise they will have to face legal action. To avoid rush, children should not be released at the same time. DGP Loknath Behra said that action will be taken against those violating protocol.

Students should be left to the main gate of the school from with a distance of 100 metres from the bus. Then by maintaining social distance they should be taken to the examination hall. As public transport is limited, school buses and KSRTC buses are arranged as requested by the school authorities. Private vehicles also will be allowed. DGP Loknath Behera has instructed the district police chiefs not to block any vehicle carrying students.

If any student is unable to reach the exam centre due to any reason, he/she will be taken in police vehicle.
Whoever accompanied the students, either parents or drivers, are not allowed to enter inside the school premises. They are not supposed to wait outside till the exams get over.

About 5000 infrared thermometers are arranged at the exam centres.

The students who are quarantines and those who have quarantines family members are allotted special hall. Their answer sheets will be sealed in separate plastic covers and then packed in another cover before recording register numbers on them.
