Thiruvananthapuram: Vishwas Mehta will succeed the current Chief Secretary Tom Jose, who is set to retire on May 31. The decision was taken during the Cabinet meeting today.
Mehta, a 1986-batch IAS officer, is a native of Dungarpur in Rajasthan.
The new home secretary will be T.K. Jose.
Thiruvananthapuram District Collector K Gopalakrishnan has been appointed as Malappuram District Collector. Navjot Khosa will be the new Collector of Thiruvananthapuram.
