Thiruvananthapuram : Police attacked, an entire family at midnight, in Palod. A police team under CI Manoj Kumar trespassed to Sajeev’s home and attacked him cruelly, accusing that he was a part of Nilakkal protest.
Police intruders broke in to Sajeev’s house by smashing the front door. Posse assailed Sajeev in front of his parents and wife.
Police showed no mercy on assaulting Mohanan, Sajeev’s father, who is a cancer patient. Up on onslaught to Mohanan, Sajeev’s mother, Omana begged, at the young men in khaki to spare her aged and unwell husband. They continued incursion with no clemency.
The police lost their fun in the defenseless men of the house, they turned to Sajeev’s wife Anuja.
When Anuja faced the fist of the policemen, Omana the old lady, tried to protect her daughter-in-law. With no trace of leniency the posse violently cracked down Sajeev’s mother. Omana’s head was banged to the wall by holding to her hair, on felling down CI Manoj Kumar injured the grandma, by kicking with his booted foot, on her lower abdomen. After critically injuring all the adults in the family, police took them all under custody, including the 3 infants of Sajeev to police station.
In no time the barbarian officials realized that Omana is severely injured, except Sajeev the rest of the family was released. The localities took Omana to primary health centre, from there to Nedumangad district hospital, as the injuries to head and hand seemed critical, Omana was shifted to medical college hospital.
The public accused that the police committed such an act of violence even to women in the absence of women police must be under CPM leader’s command.
The public is in protest against the police for their action of brutality against Sajeev and his family.
