The High Court sought explanation from the State Government on the case against Sreedharan Pillai

Kochi: The High Court sought an explanation, from the State Government, in connection with the case against BJP State President PS Sreedharan Pillai. The government informed the High Court that, Sreedharan Pillaiwill not be arrested till Tuesday.

The court had examined Sreedharan Pillai’s plea, to call off the case. Sreedharan Pillaisaid that, the case against him is invalid and he has not said anything wrong in his speech. He also added that the speech was no provocation. Following which the High Court asked the State Government for explanation.

The case will be reconsidered on Tuesday. In the name of a speech at the Yuva Morcha Conference in Kozhikode, Sreedharan Pillai is charged with non-bailable offense. The Kasaba police have registered a case under section 505 (1) (b) of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly committing to provoke the public to commit crime.
