Thiruvananthapuram: The recent sample tests conducted in Poonthura has caused a matter of serious concern now. Of the 600 samples collected from Poonthura in the last five days, 119 have confirmed with coronavirus.
Owing to this, it has been decided to conduct tests in more people of the region.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has directed officials for an immediate intervention to contain the spread of coronavirus in Poonthura.
All the borders of Poonthura will be sealed and no one will be allowed to enter the area. Additional police have been deployed in Poonthura to tighten restrictions.
