Thiruvananthapuram: In view of the rising numbers of coronavirus cases through contact in the capital city, a high-level meeting under Health Minister KK Shailaja was convened and prepared an action plan to check the ‘super spread’.
The minister said that the areas of Poonthura will be divided into clusters and strict restrictions will be imposed in the region. It has also been decided to ramp up the testing in areas where the case are surging.
The infected patients will be quickly traced and those who came in contact with the infected , will be put strictly under quarantine.
Everyone has to adhere to the quarantine norms. Meetings will be held every day to review the situation and measures taken to create awareness.
Tamil Nadu has high number of coronavirus cases. Many people from Kanyakumari District come to Kerala for various needs and treatment. The inspection will be tightened as people arrive in Kerala from the disease-hit areas, that will lead to the spread of coronavirus in Kerala too. Special OP will be opened in hospitals for those coming from outside borders, KK Shailaja added.
The importance of reverse quarantine was pointed out by the minister, for critically ill people, pregnant women, elderly and children. They are suggested not to go outdoors. In case of breach of the norms, will lead to serious situation.
